Hey everyone!

Thanks very much to everyone who completed the poll - we'll be looking at that in the next few days and working out what we're doing next. The next rewatch will be next weekend, and it will be an extra rewatch for the top episode of Season 3 (poll going up shortly). After that we'll get started on Season 4.

In the meantime, feel free to use the chat room, at regular chat times or otherwise, for looking back on Season 3, your own rewatches, or just general fannish chat. If you'd like to organise anything in particular, please don't hesitate to post to the community about it! :)

We'll be doing some sort of recaps of Season 3 episodes - if anyone would like to do one, some, or more of these, comment on this post and let us know! It can be anything from a short summary to a blow-by-blow account with screencaps and hilarious captions.

We thought the end of the season would be a good time to take stock of where we're all at, if the format is still working for people and what we might like to do to celebrate reaching this landmark. Let us know in the ticky boxes or in the comments!

Do the rewatch party times as they stand still work for you?

We're planning some fun to mark the end of Season 3. Which of the following would you like to see/participate in?

1. Sisko doesn't double-check Krajensky's story, despite it not being supposedly secret. Is this reasonable of him?

2. Do you think the Changelings' abilities are being used to their potential? Any clever shapeshifting tricks the Founder could/should have done but didn't?

3. On the other side of things, what could the Feds do for protection? The blood test is first carried out by a Founder who had already found a workaround, and the voiceprints and fingerprints used to trigger the self-destruct could be mimicked by a skilled shapeshifter.

4. What does it say about the Founder and his preparation that he knows small things ("I wanted to put my engineering extension course to good use" is the sort of thing Bashir would say) but misses some big things (O'Brien is dangerous to the mission, probably even more so than Dax, and should be taken out; the self-destruct should be restricted)?

5. Is it really true that Odo is the first Changeling ever to harm another? You don't have to kill someone to harm them, after all.

1. It becomes clear during this episode that not all of the previous hosts' memories are immediately accessible to the current host. How might this work, and what might the consequences be?

2. The B-plot of this episode involves a clash between Quark's old-school Ferengi ideals and Nog and Rom's more progressive/Federation-influenced values. Thoughts?

3. The fact that Quark reluctantly embodies a female host in this episode is played for laughs. What does this scene say about attitudes to gender, both on the part of the characters and the writers?

4. The zhian'tara seems to make it possible for personalities to switch around bodies. How else might this power be used and what ramifications might it have, for example for unjoined Trill, or people of other species who wished to have an experience similar to joining?

5. How is Jadzia at the end of this episode different than she is at the start?
